Will of Robert Beckford 1731

 Robert Beckford of Great Marlow, hoop shaver. Proved 1731. Written 1730.

Says he sick and weak but of sound and disposing mind. Commends soul to God.

That part of a messuage in West Street where he now dwells  with the appurtenances, garden plot and hovel belonging to it and right of access at all times to it with horse and cart through the Great Yard in West Street to loving wife Alice for her life. After her death to daughter Sarah Winter and her husband Richard.

Alice also for life an annuity of £4 out of his stock in trade and houses.

The other part of the house he lives in which is in the occupation of William White with the Great Yard, barn, workhouses, backside, outhouses and appurtenances belonging to it to daughter Sarah Winter and her husband Richard for life and then to their heirs. If they having no heirs then to his nephew William Beckford son of his brother David.

Message with appurtenances in West End Marlow which he recently bought from Richard Ballard to daughter Sarah Winter, her husband Richard and their heirs. If no heirs then to nephew William East son of sister Avis East.

Rest of goods chattels and personal estate to daughter Sarah Winter who is appointed executor.
