Lots Of Silver! The Will Of Hester Sawyer

 Hester Sawyer of Great Marlow relict [widow] of William Sawyer formerly of Medmenham in Great Marlow gentleman. Will written 182?, proved 1830.

Asks to be decently interred in the same vault in Medmenham churchyard as her dead husband.

Funeral and probate expenses to be first paid.

Niece Sarah Miller wife of William of ....in Gloucestershire, clothmaker a "studdied" watch.

To Sarah Clutterbuck wife of John of .....Gloucestershire a gilt metal watch.

To said Sarah Miller and Sarah Clutterbuck to be equally divided between them: all her wearing apparel and linen, 4 large silver table spoons, 12 teaspoons, 2 pairs silver tongs, one silver pair of salt spoons, one silver pepper box.

To friend Ann Bond of Marlow, widow, a silver tea pot with all china ...., tea board and caddy.

To William Sawyer, butcher, a bureau with folding doors.

Rest of personal estate equally to said Sarah Miller, Sarah Clutterbuck and Ann Bond.

Ann Bond appointed executor.

Witnessed by ..... J. Wright solicitor and .... ..mbe his clerk.

Notes: William's own will was proved in 1814. In 1810 the couple lived in West Street Marlow. Hester was left a house in Marlow by her husband but there is no specific mention of it in her will. Perhaps comes in under "all other personal estate" which she does mention or she may have sold it.
